The KML entry in the 2002 One Lap of America has, once again, been upgraded. The PT Cruiser started as a slightly used (30 miles) 2001 Touring Edition (the base model) with the Chrysler aero-body upgrade package. For the 2001 event we upgraded with a K&N air filter, Progress swaybars, Eibach springs, StopTech front disc brakes, and Hawk HPS brake pads. Added was a Whipple supercharger, promising a nearly 50% horsepower increase. Not happy with a 5th place finish in a class of 5, we have upgraded again, and switched to a smaller class.

Added for the 2002 event are most of the other available upgrades, and one of the unavailable. That would be a CenterForce (prototype) racing clutch, provided by Midway Industries of Prescott, AZ. The other aftermarket upgrades are a Bassani dual baffled exhaust, Hedman headers, an Injen intake system, a fuel management system by The Carroll Supercharging Co, a 75 shot by Nitrous Works, and a paint job applied by Collins Cruiser Customs with BASF Diamont Rainbow ChromIllusion paint.

Aftermarket assistance was provided by Greenfield Imported Car Parts, ACS Racing, and RacerPartsWholesale.
